Robin Hoods Bay by craftymeg

Robin Hoods Bay

A view from across the bay at Ravenscar. I do love my Canon SX50zoom camera. The view of the Bay and its winding street up to the car park can all be seen and this was about 3 miles away!! One of the few really pretty fishing villages that sit precariously on the cliffs along the North East coast another one is Runswick Bay both these villages sit to either side of Whitby,

Thank you for all your lovely comments and favs all are appreciated.

A wonderful capture.

Wonderfully clear view yet panoramic, too. I really find the sea wall or whatever it's called in the right fore section interesting. Huge wall! And all the reddish roofs, even when the building is built of different materials.

Wonderful shot! I'm a big fan of this camera, too. It is remarkable what you can do with it. Such a range - from dew drops to landscapes several miles away. Impressive shot.

Beautiful capture of this lovely view. Interesting to know what the connection is between this bay and Robin Hood.

@sangwann Hi Dione, the connection to Robin Hood is unknown, it was said in legend that Robin had some boats moored at the bay for a quick getaway to France from the sherif of Nottingham, but know body believes it.:))
