The early Heather is in flower across the moors. It keeps to the road edge and has a much brighter colour flower than the August Heather. It's so pretty and brightens the moor for a short period before the moorland comes alive in August. Today is very cloudy and humid after having a morning of heavy rain and temps are 24c which is quite high enough for me but it would have been nice to get a shot in sunshine. This road leads down to Hob Hole and over to Westerdale. The brown areas you see in the distance is the true heather which flowers in August it has a few weeks to go before it even looks alive.
Nice on black
Thank you for all your wonderful comments and favs on yesterday's poppies, I'm keeping the other shot I got for a miserable day!!
