Memorial

This memorial is on Battersby Bank, it’s in memory of a plane that crashed during the Second World War half a mile further across the moor. 4 men were aboard, 1 xAustralian and 3x British airmen. They survived the crash but unfortunately and very sadly died of hyperthermia before they were found 2 days later, their ages were 21 25 26 and 27. This memorial is always remembered by I’m guessing families of these poor souls.

Thank you for all your lovely comments and favs all are appreciated and welcome.
It has that desolate feeling that memorials often do. Glad to see that folks (like you) do stop and pay their respects.
