Turbines along the roadside at Hilton, I’m not a lover but these are really eyecatching being so close to the road in hedgeless fields, they tower above you as you pass them and all you can hear are the powerful veins turning, there are 3 on one side and 2 on the other. The sky was an added bonus today as we have had a lot of rain lately.

Thank you for all your lovely comments and favs all are appreciated and welcome.

This is amazing, the clouds as a backdrop really make the turbines stand out. The stripes in the
field are fab too. I must confess that I like the turbines but I think I’m in a minority on this. A big fav!

A wonderful capture and pov. Obviously they are very necessary and we have to live with them. I can if they look like this.

I really find them quite beautiful. I've just watched Michael Portillo at the place where they make the turbine blades in Hull. They are IMMENSE! Love your photo.

They are massive! Do they kill birds there the way they do over here? Just asking. They find so many birds of prey dead at the bottom which is so sad.

I know wind turbines have their downside but I enjoy the immenseness of them, their movement and the soft noises they emit.

Wonderful textures! That sky!

Beautiful shot. Wind turbines are not attractive but today they are very necessary. We don't have them but we have solar panels on roof tops and now I have read that there is a big space created solely for solar panels.

Beautiful sky. I hate these things but they are necessary and have a strange attraction of their own.

Yep, a bit of an eyesore but certainly serve a purpose

Excellent capture.

These are ominous, but glad that provide power.

I like this view of the turbines against the dark clouds. Strangely, in some respects the large modern turbines are less distracting than the early smaller ones, since the blades on the larger turbines revolve more slowly.
