I looked out at the schoolyard and the high fence

“Well," said Lydia, "I became very tired of the view from my window. Every day, summer and winter, I looked out at the schoolyard and the high fence and the apartment block beyond, and I began to imagine I would die seeing these things, and I didn't want this. I expect you understand what I mean?”

I love how the light on the fence has created such variations of the repeating pattern. And how the small basketball hoop has a net which picks up the same pattern. Nevertheless, I think I too, would tire of this view from a window. It looks as though it way well be a school fence too.
