Another one for the kitchen scrap recycle-regrow-replant series
How will you grow this? In water until you get roots?

h m m m ... intrigued how yours will turn out. So you cut it close to the bottom and then you -- put it in water first? Then plant? Maybe we should al experiment and document our attempts!

@helenhall @jyokota Yes, this will be the first celery plant that I am trying. Leave it in water until roots come out to about an inch then plant it in the ground. It has worked so far with onion, green onion, and bokchoy. I’ve also done garlic from cloves. Quarantine farming 😊

@cristinaledesma33 I'm going to try it next time I get a celery! Did you cut off anything along the bottom edge?

@cristinaledesma33 I have some celery, so will give it a try.

@jyokota @helenhall You need to make sure the base is whole and not damaged. I cut the celery bunch about 2 inches from the bottom and put the whole thing in about a half inch of water. Would be interested to see how yours turn out. :)

@cristinaledesma33 I'm in next time I get celery in a veggie delivery. I requested one last time and the Instacart shopper brought me celery cut up and the celery sticks were in a cup of water! Nothing to grow there. But not complaining -- thankful that I got groceries delivered. Next time, maybe a whole celery.
