We have recently had some frightening bushfires that came within 4 kilometres of our home. Many people with properties in the path of the fire had to evacuate and that meant finding somewhere safe for all the horses and other animals. I came across this couple who had come down to our nearby oval and tethered their horses in the cricket practise nets whilst they camped overnight till it was safe to return home.
