Clay dry sheds......... by cutekitty

Clay dry sheds.........

....this very long and airy building housed the 'slurry' after it had settled for a while.....and hardened. It was then tipped and pushed into these shallow 'drys' and then after it had dried hard it was cut into blocks to go on to the next stage......In the back ground you can see a now greened 'slag heap'....known locally as sky-tips.......they are everywhere around this area, and as the clay mines have fallen into disuse they have been reclaimed by nature. Thank you for your lovely comments and FAV's on yesterdays pic and for placing it on the TP.
