I know you have spotted me,
but please don't tell.
It's not that I am ill
or feeling unwell.
I just want to stay here
to fade away
and disappear...
No-one can hassle,
make demands, or restrict.
Into this beach I will drift
and watch the tide flow
over and around
and listen to the sea
the soothing sound
of waves on the shore,
and the rocks
cleanse me,
release me
sustain
and renew me.
When the tide recedes
I will float away
silently
insignificantly
imperceptibly.
