Passing Strangers by daffodill

Passing Strangers

Strangers passing by
on the walkway in the sky
Tell me what it is you seek?
Quick refreshment
or something deep?

You won't find salvation
in a service station.
The Costa may be steep,
but it doesn't demand your life,
like the true sacrifice.

Like ants on the sky
you scurry on by
with the heavy load
heading the wrong way down the road.

Take a 'Welcome Break'
from the stress and strain
of daily routine.
Remember the one who built the bridge
the one who paid the price,
the one who got it right.
Chose the right road,
lay down your load
There is no secret code,
just an acceptance of the gift
offered free
