Future Squash

The squash plants are blooming. We are growing five types of squash this summer: yellow summer squash, acorn squash, butternut squash, spaghetti squash and zucchini squash. You probably can tell that I like to eat squash. I even like the big yellow squash blossoms. I like to look at these blossoms. However, I have heard that some people like to fry and eat the blossoms. I have never tried that. Have you fried and/or cooked squash blossoms? If so, did you like the taste of the blossoms? P.S. I do not know what kind of squash will grow from this blossom. The plant was a volunteer. I look at the plant each day hoping to figure out what kind of squash will grow from it.
A brightly coloured close-up -- lovely !

I've never fried the blossoms or eaten them so I can't answer that question but I'm thinking that this will produce either the yellow squash or zucchini. But I'm just guessing! Very pretty!
