February 11: Maple Branch

This is the subject I selected for this week. I hope I can figure out seven ways to shoot it differently this week. This is for the flash of red (BW) challenge. This week's focus is positive and negative spaces. I see the branches from this tree every day when I look out the window in my home office.
Nice capture

Beautiful and very clear. Is that a bug hanging to the branch?

@sangwann No, a bug is not hanging from the branch. It is too cold for the bugs. It is a leaf. The leaves stayed on the trees for a long time, because the weather turned cold so suddenly when the leaves were still on the trees. The wind, ice and snow have knocked down most of the leaves. I wish it was warm enough for bugs to be on the trees. I am getting tired of this winter. We have had more storms than usual.

@olivetreeann Thank you. This ice was what remained of the ice on the branches from a series of ice storms.

I love the coating of ice, which appears to be gone by the next shot.
