I like the looks of chicory blossom, so I let this wildflower bloom in my garden. This year, one of the plants is growing in the middle of the hollyhock plant. These blossoms are from that plant. The plant has medicinal uses, but I grow it just for its looks.
Nicely captured! I also know that during WWll Chicory was also used as a substitute for coffee. But since I am not a coffee drinker I could not tell you if the taste was comparable or not.
@olivetreeann@joysfocus Thank you for your comments. In my grandmother's days, people drank beverages made from chicory. I have never drunk chicory coffee.
