Funny how things can strike you differently on the screen. I was working all day and missed an opportunity before church to listen to our guest speaker give a talk to the leaders. Since I was early for church, though, I stopped at a place where I can pull over and see the Everglades. I wanted to capture the incoming storm. They now have it blocked off completely and I was annoyed that I would have to include the concrete dividers in my photo. I thought for sure I would discard it when I downloaded it. But somehow it lends starkness to the dark sky. This photo is completely untouched. BTW, it didn't even rain. Opinions welcome.
I guess it also applies to the Augustphotoaday challenge word for the day!
That IS an ominous sky!! Very threatening. Hard to imagine you didn't get rain from it. But I know how that is because we get clouds like that coming off the Gulf with no rain, too. I agree that the concrete dividers add to the starkness of the sky. Very nice shot!
@marlboromaam Thanks so much, Maggie! @dreams Thank you, Karen. So strange how it looks better in the photo than in real life. One can never tell! @purdey Thank you so much, Sharon! It's great to hear other perspectives.
@bardejov Florida can sure have some storms. Oops...our weather radio just went off! Thanks for your comments.
@anazad511 Thank you very much for commenting. Crazy skies lately.
How did I miss this???!! Gorgeous clouds!! I think the concrete dividers are good in this shot. I like the way they lead your eye to the road and that seems to just float off into space!
@clmiller Thanks, Caren. It doesn't often build like this without rain. Very strange. I'm glad you liked the concrete barriers.
@lynnb Thanks, Lynn! I'm sure somebody got some.
