The aerial roots of this tree get all knotted up. If you look closely, there is a heart shape in the middle. I chose this particular one for that reason. At the bottom are some growths that look like knots to me, and that was my intended subject matter.

I greatly appreciate you taking the time to stop by. @henrir I think this is a Strangler Fig. The seeds are planted by birds and they will strangle any tree nearby (there is a palm underneath and in some of my other photos I didn't post. The roots come from the top and work their way down.
