Seacrest Scrub Natural Area by danette

Seacrest Scrub Natural Area

I was with some clients today and stopped by this nature preserve afterwards. It seemed like a great place to explore but I was alone with no one around in a very private area not in the best of neighborhoods, so I didn't stay.

I would like to go back as they have gopher tortoises and other exotic wild creatures. I believe these pines are Scrub Pines, which are taller than Sand Pines. At one time, this was a pineapple farm. The City of Boynton Beach purchased these 54 acres in 1994 for $2,050,000.
This is really beautiful, Janette. Love your perspective. Looks like a wonderful place to visit. Hope to see some of the wild creatures.
