Oh, this is one of my favorite parts of Philly. There is an excellent restaurant there, where the lite round canopies are. It looks so gorgeous during the twilight.
@skipt07 I certainly loved all the columns everywhere throughout the city. Though I agree with your comment about Greece, I didn't know there was so much French architecture in the city. I almost thought I was in Paris.
@squamloon This was taken across the water from the restaurant, though I had taken one from that angle a few nights earlier. You are, of course, right that they named Monopoly after Atlantic City properties. The tour guide told us that three of the places were named after Philadelphia places since Charles Darrow was from Philly. Maybe it is an urban legend.
I must remember to try to visit the restaurant and get one of these night shots next time I visit my best friend (a prof at Penn).
I'm confused about the Monopoly thing, though... I thought that was all based on Atlantic City?
@ianrm Thank you for stopping by and your fav! It is greatly appreciated.
@bkbinthecity It is more amazing than the photo portrays. :-)
@mittens Yes, I had a great time. I would love to go back! So much to see.
@eyesmile Thanks so much for the fav, Gena!
