Baby Cardinal

I was thrilled to see this baby Cardinal in my backyard yesterday. Mostly because she didn't fly away as I approached the tree! I was able to get a few good shots of her, moving closer all the time (she was still high up). Then, her parents came to her rescue! Her Dad stood guard, while her Mom escorted her away. I will upload the Dad giving me the evil eye tomorrow.

Awww ... lovely capture! Great processing. So if it is a male does it turn red later or is it born red? We don't have them here, and I only found on 365 that the males are red. FAV for me!

@skipt07 Choice of sky colors was selected by God! :-). We actually had a storm. Was supposed to be a bad one with hail, but fizzled.
