The sun was glowing as it set over the Everglades. I can't believe the birds cooperated. It was quite cold sitting out on the dike, with a stiff wind blowing. Felt much colder than 61 degrees. I find it incredible that this peace and tranquility lies within 100 yards of a busy highway. They keep trying to block off access, but I'll squeeze in to the best of my ability.
@rosiekerr I haven't been seeing a lot of birds in the Everglades "recently" but they seem to be coming back. You could hear them hiding in the grass and then they'd swoop up. the Everglades is the River of Grass, so all of it is marshy. This just happens to be one of the more wet areas.
