Gator Bait

We were out on an airboat and saw this 10' alligator. We stopped to watch him. I was taking some photos from a safe distance when he swam right over to me! I was maybe a foot above the water. He could easily jump 7', so I decided to climb to a safer distance. He was eyeing me a little too closely.

This prehistoric creature needs the "Jaws" music playing, while he creeps closer. Climbing to higher elevation sounds like a great idea. Wonderful detail in this shot.
