Old vs New

This is a replica of the Pinta. The Nina was also there and even smaller. Compared to a modern day yacht (of not large proportions), it's amazing these vessels were able to cross the Atlantic!
Great image, title and comment..

I know, it's mind blowing. That would be very scary to cross the ocean in that little boat.

Fun contrast of the boats -- very cool replica.

Beautiful shot! Yeah, it makes one consider the balance between wisdom & determination of the people who made the journey!

I prefer the old. Though I wouldn't mind the new either 😀

Nicely captured. I'm not much of a history buff but I do like to hear the stories of the Pilgrims coming over so I'm sure I would be fascinated by the Pinta replica

Wow...I think I would pass on that cruise! I would need a bigger boat! :)

Wonderful shot

Wow. Thanks for this. Educational. It's much smaller than the Mayflower.... but then there's a 128-year gap between the two, so it's probably a silly comparison for me to make.
