Seawall Blvd. by danette

Seawall Blvd.

Along the coast in Galveston, TX, runs Seawall Blvd. It is named for the seawall that was constructed along the entire road (now about 10 miles long). It was built to protect the island after the hurricane of 1900. It is 17' high and 16' thick at the base. With a wide sidewalk on the top, it gives a nice space for people to walk and ride bikes.
Very nice shot and interesting nformation, Danette.

Wonderful textures that comprise your composition, and an interesting narrative to read.
