Last night, our church held a service for everyone hurting over this school shooting. Two of those killed attended our church. While our sanctuary seats over 2000, it was standing room only plus additional chairs in the aisles. There were other prayer services and a large candlelight vigil in a Parkland park at the same time. It was a moving service. I had the privilege of being the one of the two photographers allowed to record the night. This event has hit our community very hard. Parkland was always the perfect community. Voted "safest place to live" last year. It is very, very upscale. I have probably posted dozens of images taken within a half mile of this school over the years.
If you wish to listen to this service, they probably will have it uploaded today to www.cbglades.com. Yesterday, my daughter-in-law (a teacher who had just returned to work after maternity leave) had to usher her 2nd graders into a bathroom under a Code Red alert. God bless you all.
