It's amazing how close the bison are to the people in Yellowstone. I was in my car and used my zoom for this particular shot. I always kept proper distances from the wild animals.
@pandorasecho while I certainly wanted to keep myself safe, you are correct in that it helps their safety, too. I hope that in 100 years, people will still have the same access to these magnificent animals.
Fantastic shot! I have seen videos where they charge and flip people in the air. I would keep my distance too. They have buffalo on Catalina Island. :)
