Llenroc

The house built by Ezra Cornell between 1865-1875 on the Cornell University campus. It is now owned by the Delta Phi Fraternity, of which my husband's best friend is a member. We had the privilege of seeing the inside of the house, along with two historians. The house is currently empty and needs some work (which will never end)! It is not often we get such a personal tour of a grand home. While I don't know the square footage, it has 17 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The woodwork is amazing.
What a nice capture of such an historical building. I love all of the architectural detail. Were you able to take pictures of any of the inside details? Fav.

@cindymc not really. We were engrossed in conversation and there was no much to take in. I can post the dining hall in my other album.

Beautiful shot of this grand old building. How fortunate to get a personal tour. Three bathrooms is not much for seventeen bedrooms ;-)

@ludwigsdiana yes, we had this appointment with the historians to see what work they recommended. One bathroom is huge and numerous people can use it. I don't know how it was originally configured.

@marlboromaam It is Gothic Revival. They used local limestone for the construction.
