As you may all know by now, this week i've been posting pictures of my trip to Norway last year.
I've already posted a picture of the Svartisen - but this one is different in many ways...
This picture, of all of the photos i took whilst away, has to be my favourite out of the thousand or so shots taken.
The perfect reflection of the glacier, combined with the stunning sky colour and clouds all lent themselves to offer the most stunning of landscapes i think i've ever had the greatest of opportunities to witness.
The reflection is perfect, I can see why it's your favourite! Were you on a cruise there Darren? We were on the Marco Polo about 2 weeks before you, same itinerary from what I can see of your posts.
@sturnus Haha! How weird Carol! Yes, we took the Marco Polo cruise as well, obviously the 2 weeks after yours then! Did you manage to see the Northern Lights? We'd heard onboard that the previous cruise was fairly rough in terms of the weather. Not sure if that's correct or not? Was an amazing trip and we're certainly thinking of doing it again some time :)
@darrenboyj What a coincidence! Yes, the sea was rough on the way up and rough on the way back - I was seasick twice and normally have no probs at all with sailing. I think they said it was force 10 - 11 at one point. We missed 2 ports on the way up and 1 on the way back through bad weather. But I'd do the trip again without a moment's hesitation. We saw the Northern Lights best from the ship on the last leg up to Alta, amazing views, but they were visible most nights once we were north of Bergen. Something I've always wanted to see and definitely worth the journey. I've so loved seeing your pictures Darren, thank you!
Wow, beautiful. I have enjoyed seeing your pictures over the last week. We have a couple of very good friends who live in Norway and we always go and visit when we are in Europe. A beautiful place.

I really will have to get to Norway one of these days, your pictures are an inspiration.
Another FAV.
