After getting the tramway to the summit, we decided to take the 3 hour walk back down.
The weather must have changed literally about 4 times during the descent, the top was covered in mist, VERY windy, cloudy, and was extremely dismal.
When the cloud did lift for a few seconds however, the views were pretty outstanding. We must have hit every weather element possible!
@shepherdman didn't tell me that you could get a tram up snowden. He made me walk! I managed as far as the bit where you really needed to rock climb about 2/3 way up. We had changeable weather too about 8 weeks ago and we had spectacular views. Next time we go I'll make sure we tram up and walk down like you did.
