Mokelumne River by darsphotos

Mokelumne River

After all the rain we got, we finally had a sunny day. Hubby and I took a ride about 30 minutes East of where we live.
That looks like a good bit of water rushing through there. I know you were thankful to have it and hope it didn’t cause flooding

This does look rather like turbulent waters but probably is expected at the end of winter! Glad you could both get out!

@grammyn It was a beautiful day and the water was calmer than it had been as there was still a lot of mud and debris from how it was. We have never seen it like this. Cannot imagine how it looked a week or more ago.

@maggiemae With all the rain we have gotten it was a site to see. We have not had this much rain in 8 years. Amazing to see all the pooling of water as we drove. It was so nice to get out of the house and out of town as well.

@dannydavies gorgeous place to visit quickly as there is not much area to stand/walk. Rain has stopped for a couple weeks now so this has slowed down.

@carolmw thank you Carol. This was close to peak. Lots of rain prior to this. Now we have been dry for about two weeks. Would love to go back but not likely for a while.

@congaree it’s beautuful just after it rains. We’ve been dry for a couple weeks so this has slowed down. There are still flowers blooming here but not like at peak time. Hubby has been sick with bad urinary fluid retention and now has a permanent catheter. It’s been consuming as we had a horrid urologist and left that practice for another one I found locally. New doctor checked with a camera last week and next week a urolift. It’s all very very painful for my husband. Praying his bladder can bounce back. Medical mistakes etc as we have found out can be pretty devastating. Hope you’re doing well. Thank you for stopping by and commenting John.

@pyrrhula thank you so very much for commenting and the fav too. I’m way behind here so popping in the wee hours of the morning. Cannot sleep. Will get more rest in a while. Hubby has improved but a procedure next Tuesday will be very painful. Praying he gets through the urolift ok. It’s been a trying time.

Sounds like your world is creating a bit of pressure on you and yours! Hope it lifts soon!

@maggiemae it’s a struggle right now. Hubby has a permanent catheter since April 11. Cystoscopy was clear, camera look inside but today home from work early with severe pain. Think a blockage that cleared so back to work but home after work in lots of pain now thinking infection. See dr tomorrow and start antibiotic. Urolift next Tuesday. It’s a lot to see hubby go through. He’s suffered so much and now out of sick and vacation time so having him take family leave and state disability for 4 weeks. We are hoping things get a lot better soon. Thank you for caring so much. I hope you and John are doing well and enjoying life too. Hugs.
