Elk Grove Regional Park

Our getaway place to recharge. So glad it’s only a few miles away. Very few Canadian geese and few squirrels as well. What’s now the usual ducks were hanging out together. There’s definitely no more Mork and Mindy. How we both miss those days and wonder what happened to them.

Hubby has been off work almost 6 months due to horrid urinary problems and will be returning to work late October. Procedures, infections, er visits, antibiotics, urology dr change, catheters are almost totally behind him/us.

Life is literally one day or moment at a time sometimes.
Its just about coping, Darlene - the human is capable! Its only when you look back you wonder how you made it!
Can't see anyone here at this peaceful place! Good for the photo!

What a lovely scene, Darlene, and at odds with what you've been dealing with. I hope that all is smooth from now on.

So nice to see you posted a picture of the beautiful park. yes, I often wonder what happened to Mork and Mindy.
Duck Season has started, a sure sign of Autumn. with being only the four houses away from the lake, the geese are now constantly flying over our house, one can hear their honk honk loud and clear.
Hope Dan feels up to going back to work. Give him our best.

Lovely shot of a beautiful looking park. Sad about not seeing Mork and Mindy anymore and I'm sorry about your husband's health problems. I hope he continues to heal and be well again.

What a beautiful park, Darlene. It looks so peaceful.

Very sorry to hear of all the health problems your husband has been experiencing. I hope he will be much better later this month as he returns to work.

@maggiemae @taffy @bruni @carolmw @bkbinthecity @mittens @congaree nothing like saying thank you to everyone months later so here’s a big thank you to everyone.
Last year aged me the most of any year I’ve lived. We are still exhausted but plugging along. My hubby went back to work the end of October. He’s still working and I’m so grateful. The urolift he had last year was a complete success and he remains catheter free. I’m doing most of our shopping and stuff around the house. Grateful we both can do what we can. Life keeps tossing stuff at us and we continue to move forward. I’ve started us on green smoothies every morning for 3 months now to keep us as healthy as we can be. I’ve researched my brains out over the last two years and found this to be the easiest way to get a good amount of nutrition.
I hope you’re all doing well and grateful for this place I’ve loved to come back to as I can.

It's good to read that there have been some positive movements for both of you. I hoe that continues for you both.
