D22 Wabi-sabi

Wabi-sabi is a style that is part of traditional Japanese aesthetics. Its place in Japanese aesthetic values is roughly equivalent to that of the Western ideal of beauty and perfection. Wabi-sabi is not only applied to art, but also to life, such as flower arranging or home decorating. Wabi-sabi accepts that life is complex, imperfect, and impermanent. It embraces simplicity and prefers minimalism. Nothing is finished or 100% perfect. When an object reaches perfection, it means there is no more room for improvement and it loses its meaning of existence.
