I just returned from a trip to Peru with my mother, and one of the bucket list items that cannot disappoint is that of Machu Picchu. It's magical and unpredictable! We arrived with an overcast scene, saw a little sun, and ended with a rainbow over the mountains in the rain. What a special time I had!
@pamknowler My mom and I took the bus to the entrance, and while there were steps up and down, we were really "right there." We did NOT hike to the spot like many people do. Our guide was very patient with me (back) and Mom (82 and oxygen deprived at that altitude). So glad you are enjoying the photos. I will be posting so many more. :)
@grammyn Always love traveling, and I was glad I could--it was a bit iffy there for a bit, but I'm feeling better--just not fully recovered. I'll take better!
@mariaostrowski Beautiful, diverse, and just amazingly awesome. I loved Lima too. Went to Cusco as well, and I really enjoyed the Pre-Colombian art museum there. Food was incredible everywhere. My last day enjoyed a fruit tasting. I miss the Amazonian orange already!
