I failed to pull out my actual camera this year, but I did catch a quick phone shot of our annual feast, which included 15 family and 2 friends, all vaxed and boosted. We were able to enjoy the back patio for appetizers and dessert, and we ate inside for the meal.
2021 has been a sucky year for our family, especially with the spinal stroke my brother suffered, but I was so grateful for this opportunity to celebrate his ever expanding rehab--he is walking now! We had another scare last week with him going into hospital for weakness in the left leg, but there was no sign of problems strokewise.
This year, we added a country ham to the mix. For those not familiar with it, it is a southern salt-cured ham--think of it as American southern prosciutto.
The meal looks like it would be fit for a King and I’m sure it was delicious! I’m so happy your family got to get together especially with your brother’s progress in spite of the scare you had.
