Today I noticed my first daffodil in the yard. They are one of my favorite flowers. My daffodils droop downward, and you can see that an earlier rain spit up some dirt on the petals. To capture the glorious morning sun coming through the bloom facing the earth, I had to get very close to the ground and hold my position while trying to focus. I was shooting toward the light, but I liked how the morning sun highlighted the beautiful petals and trumpet!
Spring is coming! Just a little bit early for GA--not a good sign, but I'll celebrate the beauty of the a.m. before I have to head back into my office and sit at a computer all day. :)
I wish the daffies would stand a little taller! I really wish I could achieve one of those cool macro shots (no real lens....yet!). The sun in the petals was very nice! Thanks for the comments Judi!
