Well, I got an overcast sky today, but I used the settings for the CSC-35 challenge and used manual focus (yeah, that was fun) and manual everything--exif should show up on the right. I rather like it!
@catwoman2 Thanks very much for the fav. I had the same feelings about the shot. I love when I can catch a flock together--such variety in the movement.
@rvwalker I have an affinity for telephone and industrial wires, and I was thinking of notes too when I cropped it. I was trying to make one wire hit a corner and the other too--and it worked. Otherwise, it was sooc, which is fun when it happens. This CSC has been good. Can't wait for a good proper sunny day to try "sunny 16" as it's meant to be done!
@thomastoth Thanks Thomas! I'm having fun with this challenge. I am usually very comfortable with manual focus as a bird moves through the trees and I'm "waiting for him" but with flight, it's not as easy. I knew it would not be precise, but I think it worked fine. I do use almost all manual settings in terms of ISO, shutter, and aperture these days, but I hadn't thought to go manual on WB (because I didn't know!). This has been a great year, and I'm very happy with what I've learned so far--and I'm much more comfortable in Manual mode than any other these days. I want to start using AV some as I want to start chasing less movable objects! :)
