One of my daughters is on a class trip. The other is at a party. My husband is working late. So instead of feeling sorry for myself, I went to the grocery store and gathered the materials for homemade Vietnamese pho--with shrimp instead of beef.
It was delicious. I saved a bowl for my husband. Because I'm a nice wife. :)

@taffy I "generally" followed this one. I cooked my shrimp separately. And I strained the broth after all the spices simmered but I wanted a clear broth without all the flavor bits still in it.
