Oh boy, today was one of those days I ended up with a headache from thinking too much and from preparing for a lengthy discussion with my state senator on a bill passed in our state senate that takes GA into a new era of educational mess. I live in a fervent "state's rights" state now--much to my chagrin. I prepared my notes, sent several emails, and then topped the day off with the phone call. It's hard knowing I made no dent in the process, but I did what I could to speak up...oh, well.
In between my emails, research, and the phone call, a dear friend came help me with my garage, the last huge area in my house to tackle and to de-clutter so I can get on with life. I have lovely friends--I can't be more grateful than I am, really.
The sun appeared even though it was pretty chilly weather! So next on my botanical search in the yard is this little Maple, but I am uncertain as to what type of Maple this tree is. We planted it soon after our second daughter was born and I know it is a Maple, but it could be a Sugar Mapler (Acer saccharum), a Red Maple (Acer rubrum), or a Red Sunset Maple (Acer Rubrum "Franksred"). We shall see!
Oh, and I'm thinking, just thinking of repeating shots of these same plants each week so by end of month you can look down each day's column and trace the progress. I'd have to find the same bud, but I might be able to swing it. I would hope it'd look dramatic in the end. Who knows what I'll do. I'm highly unpredictable these days. :)
