Not my kids, but their teammates at one of my favorite races where the runners have to complete 3 consecutive jumps as they run. I asked the girls to practice for me in a funny way (of course). I love our team. They are such good kids and they are absolute champions in spirit and reality (they won the whole event from scores from 6 of the 8 races--just to give you a sense of the size of this XC Invitational, my oldest came in 39th out of 421 JV Open girls. That was the 7th of 8 races of the day--so there were TONS of runners in different races! My youngest did a killer time and came in 42nd out of 412 Championship JV runners (but they had to take it from 5ks to 3ks because the heat had the kids dropping like flies as the time progressed--it was sooooooo hot!). Still one of my favorite races. Last year, it was in the rain and very muddy. I'd take last year's weather any day.
