For the past week, I have been eagerly watching the slow unfolding of the amaryllis bulb gifted to us this Christmas by fellow our friends Betsey and Trish. This afternoon, it decided the time was ripe for fully opening up those magnificent petals and showing the world its gorgeous striped ensemble.
