My sister's flight last night was late (of course), and by the time she took a taxi here it was about 1:30 a.m. Nevertheless, we left this morning about 11:00 for New Hampshire and had a nice slow drive, mostly on back roads. We stopped in Peterborough, a marvelous small town, for lunch. I like to enjoy the ride and not just rush to the destination.
We arrived at the camp at Swanzey Lake around 5:00. I attended a Road Scholar program there last October, and my sister will lead a hiking program there next week.
There was a golden glow on the lake in the early evening as we waited to go to dinner.
