I took a slightly different route home and went by Dublin Lake, where there is a good view of Monadnock, the mountain that dominates this area and gives it its identity. My sister will be leading hikes on different trails up the mountain.
I couldn't safely stop the car where the view was best, so this is only a partial view of Monadnock (on the right). It was a beautiful cool, sunny day with a nice breeze and these fine clouds. I really enjoyed my trip back and made it last all day, even though the distance is less than a hundred miles.
