TungNath by deepak28

Tungnath is the highest Shiva Temple in the World. Lord Shiva is a Hindu God Who used to live in the Himalayas. Shiva is known as "The Destroyer" within the Trimurti, the Hindu trinity that includes Brahma and Vishnu. In Shaivism tradition, Shiva is one of the supreme beings who creates, protects and transforms the universe. He is also celebrated as the God of Yoga.

It takes about 3 hours climb to reach the temple from the nearest motorable road. The journey is fun and breathtaking, breathtaking because you have to climb 5km uphill.

The Himalayan Range is visible from the mountain range, and it gets really cold out there, the oxygen levels are really low as you are at 12000 ft above sea level, I remember lighting a match and it went off in about 2 seconds. it becomes all misty by 5 in the evening.

There were shops up there, and the people living there would go down twice a month to get all the items to sell.

It is a beautiful journey up to the top. Do pay a visit if you come to India in the Future
