@hagata Hate it hate it, bad choice of colours, look fat, location is in between showers at my swimming venue in the grounds, had to desat into b&w image to hide the unfortunate sign.....not happy ;-(
@hagata This is awful, tried all week to get a selfie in an attractive location, but defeated by the rotten weather. Unfortunate choice of colour in my outfit, a trackie I wear for swimming days, and a sadly placed sign didn't help, also think I look fat......hope you're doing better with your challenge, it certainly has been one for me, hope no one asks me to do another selfie any time soon!!
You really do not look happy in this picture! Neither do you look fat, but for some reason, we women always worry about looking fat. Actually, I like the background. The stones are neutral and don't detract from the subject.
Aaah the joys of selfies! You definitely look as though you aren't enjoying the process but you by no means look fat. It's so easy to pick ourselves apart in photos, which is why I started doing selfies to begin with. It's hard but putting yourself out there does work. Believe me, you see a lot more bad in this photo than any of the rest of us do!
@denidouble it doesn't look bad. Sorry it wasn't too fun but as @breigh said, selfies are hard, but the more you do them the better you get, plus I found that doing selfies will help when you're working with models. :)
I'm behind as usual, but I did shoot for my challenge :)
@catwoman2@susale@breigh@hagata thank you all muchly for your kind words, I will keep trying. Have ordered a gorillapod for my birthday next week so there will be a few selfies coming up with grandson on my visit the week after.
Awww, you don't look fat. You must not think this way. The more you do selfies the more comfortable you'll feel sharing them and we are quite a friendly bunch on 365 :o) I think you do look very uncomfortable in this shot obviously due to not really wanting to take a selfie. Experiment with different lighting and crops and you will get used to it. None of us particularly like shots of ourselves but the way I think about it is there are loads of people out there with serious disfigurements who get on with their lives in a very positive way. Chin up and try again and you'll find you get more used to it. Have a virtual hug too :o) xx
@tristansmum thank you, and I will, got a funny one up tonight ;-) @psychographer thank you so much for the encouragement and the wise words have tried a funny selfie to get over it! @squamloon Thank you, thank you, and thanks to all for your positive support, will be on hol next week with my grandson and so more selfies may emerge, especially if I receive my birthday gift! ;-D
Certainly NOT fat!! I think you've described so well how many of us feel about selfies- note lack of any in my album. Brave thing to do so good on you!
Well i like it Deni! I especially like that sweater - like you have just slipped it on! I'm not sure if the positioning of the No Parking sign has any significance though!
It looks like an "I'll do what I want" image. Like I am going to stand right here at this No Parking sign, take my sweet time and take a photo image!;-)

It's a very real and NOT FAT picture... I think there's actually a lot to be said for it, in a John Schlesinger kind of way.
