i agree, these are wonderful plants, especially in my mostly shady gardens. i love how you captured the curly bits. i've found this bloom to be very unphotogenic, if that's a word. you've done a great job. FAV. is this a shot from this year? mine don't have buds on them yet.
i need to visit an arboretum one of these years. you have a great eye for these shots, as i've told you many times in the past. keep 'em comin! sometimes my comments on your pics are pretty short [or non-existent] but i always enjoy seeing each and every image.
