Wow, this is a fabulous shot, Diane. I love all the detail you captured so well. You cannot tell this is through glass. Well maybe you can tell but I cannot. I have photographed at the zoo through the glass and amazing to me that it is like no glass is there. FAV
@appsie They said they have just acquired another 200 acres so over the next 4 years or so they will be expanding a lot, I would like to go back then. They do work with so many endangered animals in partnership with other zoos which is great.
So regal and (hopefully) peaceful. I know cats sleep aloooot so I image the bigger cats do also. I grew up across the street and could hear the lions roar. It can carry like 5 miles or something. On youtube there is a video of a lion named Christian who reunites with those who raised him..several years later. It is the best. Also, one of a guy who has made himself a part of a lion pack.
Forgot one hilarious lion thing. I briefly knew this lady who told me she went on a date once.....They went to the zoo and the lion backed up and sprayed his urine at her from like 20 ft away! Can you imagine? And how it smelled. She had to ride back to her house in that warm, smelly yuck! Horrible, but funny.
