Spent a long time shooting this peony today. Its a rainy gloomy day so I broke out the tripod and worked on my camera settings challenge. The challenge is exposure compensation. I think I took 100 different shots with all different settings. In the end I learned I absolutely did not like the lighting that came from the built in flash on my Nikon. But after playing with my speed light I achieved this. I'm quite happy with it. Flash photography is still a mystery to me but I guess I learned something....lets hope I don't need to take a quick flash shot cause I'd never be able to read the situation and get it right! Phew!!
I am not fond of my built in on my Nikon and still find the speedlight a bit of a mystery. Something I would like to work on when I retire next year. Think you did great.
