The Castle by dianen

The Castle

I ventured over to an area where I've driven past a million times but never driven in to actually experience. I think this is my favorite part of my 365 project...that I'm experiencing my local area in a way that I would never have without this project!
Great colors

Great architecture...it really is fun to play tourist in our own area. I have enjoyed that as well. Lovely shot.

@cocobella @photographycrazy @gilbertwood @eyesmile thanks for taking the time to comment. The real story behind this building is that it was the main building on the campus of the Maine Youth Center from the 1880s thru the early 1990s. The stories say that the towers are where "troubled youth" we're shackled as punishment In today's light and setting it is beautifully charming structure but the truth is if Walsh could talk we probably would not want to listen!

Don't you just love how 365 makes you look at things differently? Your castle is really pretty.
