Peeling yellow paint by dibzgreasley

Peeling yellow paint

Today I thought I'd post a textural shot rather than patterns. I really loved the paint textures on the base of this fire hydrant. If you have time it looks way better on black. I haven't had too much time to reply to comments over the last few days. I am in the last few weeks of writing up my Phd thesis and it is very time consuming. But, it must be finished! So thank you all for your very kind comments and fav's. What a great community this is!
Lovely light and textures.

Fabulous. I tried capturing the peeling paint on my granny shed but it was disappointing. The yellow colour is gorgeous. Good luck with the writing up. Keep going.

Beautiful - the lighting is perfect and really helps accentuate the texture. And I love the frame, which adds to the texture effect in a subtle and complementary way.

Debs! What a fantastic find and composition for a texture shot. And while you weren't aiming for patterns, you got them in the brick and stone work. Fav in favor of the colors and creativity of the image.
