As part of my environmental education job, I had a great day today, working at a farm that is being replanted in native trees. It is near the Kaipara Harbour and is really incredible. The planting was begun in 2008, and by 2016, all 59 acres will be planted in manuka, flax, caprosma etc, so that later, larger canopy trees can be planted. Have a look at the website - it is an impressive achievement.
