Tui

Well, it seems the more I learn about photography, the less I know! Today I tried to put into practise what we learnt at the workshop yesterday….all I managed was a tui with a beautifully focussed body and a fuzzy head!

His plumage is shown in beautiful detail. It really is a quite lovely shot. and it is a lot better than I could manage today - after sitting for half an hour under a flowering gum watching a bell bird feeding all I got was a couple of blurry blobs.

Wonderful close-up shot Dianne. I actually recognised the tui, would you believe? The tee-markers at Wairakei golf course are model tuis. And we were last in NZ just after the rugby World Cup and the whole place was covered in ads featuring tuis!
