At the airport today farewelling Jesse - he's off to Canada. In spite of his face, he was very excited. (It's not cool to smile when your mum is taking the photo!) He had heaps of gear - in the snowboarding bag is his large saw and some clothes - in the metal box are his woodchopping axes. He will arrive just in time to get into the Canadian woodchopping summer competition.
OMG. How did he fare with security and customs? It's a lovely family shot Dianne, and I wish Jesse all the very best in all his endeavours. He deserves it.
@golftragic It's usually not a problem - everything is really cleaned, well packed, all declared etc. He has travelled many times overseas with this type of gear, so knows all the requirements! I imagine it would have cost a fair bit in extra weight though.
Some luggage...makes me look like I really travel light! What an exciting time for Jesse.....he is going to the right place if he is a wood cutter that's for sure. It's wonderful how these youngsters are able to travel round the world. You will miss him & it's always a worry when our babies leave the nest!
He has got so much to take with him. Hope you has a great time!
My daughter went to Canada for three months, stayed a year and brought home a husband... look out, those Canadian girls might snatch him up :)
